Thank you for the opportunity to introduce you to the Purl Company. Purl Wax is manufactured in Summit County Colorado where temperature and condition changes are daily occurrences. Waxing in these circumstances is a necessity, and we product test every time we ride.
In the face of the big environmental issues nowadays ski and snowboard wax might not seem to play such an important role, but a traditional stick of wax bears a lot more toxic potential than generally known. To learn more about Wax and the environment please click on the Environment tab. To find out whats new with Purl, just scroll down and enjoy!

Avalanche wisdom by Gabe Taylor
Everyday when I leave the house to go film the lady says, “be careful”. I always return with an “Of course”, but being a professional snowboarder requires one to have an extremely accurate balance between being careful and getting the shot. I mean really, what’s careful about spinning off a 60 ft. cliff with rocks all over the landing? Nothing, but with experience we can negotiate things and usually make a good call as to whether or not something is doable.
Check out Gabe Taylors words of wisdom. Wise up!

Purl Wax Team Riders Chanelle Sladics and Silvia Mittermueller take 1st and 3rd at Asian Open in Alts Bandai, Japan!
The 5Star Nissan X-Trail Asian Open in Alts Bandai, Japan, saw riders going
head to head in one of the last remaining Slopestyle contests of the season.
Under blue skies, Oakleys Chanelle Sladics (USA) took the title, earning
850 Swatch TTR ranking points and $15,000 USD. Despite Japans unusual lack of snow, the shaping crew at Alts Bandai constructed a sick course comprised of a street style down rail, two perfect kickers anda box, to a flat down box.
Sladics rode solidly all day and snatched victory in her final run, stomping
a FS Boardslide to Fakie, followed by a massive Cab 5 Mute to FS 5 Indy, to
a cab 270 boardslide, spinning through the trapozoid box. Jamie Anderson (USA) and Silvia Mittermueller
(GER) took second and third respectively.
Chanelle was quoted saying "Stoked I made the first place. It feels amazing to come out on top. Every contest keeps getting better and better, I really look up to the girls I am competing against! I will definitely start working my way up on
the TTR."

Yo Beat interview with Jake Blauvelt:
Jake Blauvelt is one of the pro snowboarders that we at Purl admire the most. He knows how lucky he is to snowboard for a living and has the talent and drive to make snowboarding even better. Jake has won contests, broken records, and put out insane video parts. Mostly we just like Jake because he rocks.

Wiley, Seth, and Sage Dominate the 2008 Film Scene:
Wiley Miller is a phenomenal back country skier. If you have followed the backcountry scene in the last three seasons, you too agree that Wileys back country jumping is absolutely incredible. For any nonbelievers that need proof of Wileys BC dominance, look no further than Level 1 Productions 2008 release of TURBO. Along with absolutely destorying his segment in TURBO, Wiley has a strong performance in TGRs 2008 release of Under the Influence.
For all you big mountain enthusiasts, Purl athlete Seth Morrison was in Breckenridge today signing posters with fellow Oakley athletes, Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall, Sammy Carlson, Jon Olsson, Jossi Wells, and Jacob Wester. For footage of Seth doing what he does best (which happens to be dropping some of the lagest cliffs in the world, slaying the scariest of lines, and absolutely crushing the big mountain scene, check out his segment in TGRs Under the Influence. According to many skiers, this is the best Morrison segment in a while. Pick up your copy today at TGRs website.
And if the skiing of Wiley and Seth is not enough to convince you to watch Under the Influence, Sage Cattabriga-Alosas segment will. According to Joe Vallone, Purl Athlete and longtime Chugach Powder Guide, "Sage stepped it up big time this year. His segment in TGRs new film is all the proof you need.

Superpark 11: Keystone!
For two years running, Piston Bully's, shovels and rakes have come down hard on Keystone mountain for the annual Snowboard Magazine Superpark. The combined efforts of the park crews of Keystone, Boreal and Bear got things poppin this year with a masterpiece of a park. With options galore, four days of fury ensued and I don't think there was even any crying involved. Limits were pushed and the style oozed, mostly in the bars of keystone, but some great stuff went down in the park too.
Check out what our friends at Snowboarder
Magazine had to say about us.

Purl Wax gives away a cat trip with the Purl pro team to the winner of

in the bottom. For the 2006-2007 season, Purl promised to take one lucky customer
on the snow day of a lifetime with the Golden Ticket Giveaway. Several days later,
Winn was climbing into a powder cat with the Purl crew including Jeff Meyer,
JJ Johnson, and Paul Cotter. The Purl International team also includes such heavy
hitters as Seth Morrison, Sage Cattabriga Alosa, Jesse Csincsak, Joe Vallone,
Pat Milberry, and Chanelle Sladics.
